Calling all West Philly PA artists: Dock Street Beer presents the West Philly Tee Shirt Design Contest. Starting February 17th and ending March 17th, 2012 Dock Street is accepting submissions for their next tee shirt design. The design can be based around the brewpub, a specific beer or Dock Street beers in general.

Oskar Blues in Colorado is now making cans of B3K Black Lager, a German-style schwarzbier and two-time GABF medal winner. they'll be available in the Denver metro area. A luxurious German-style schwarzbier, B3K won a 2008 gold medal in the German-Style Schwarzbier bracket, and a 2011 bronze medal in the Kellerbier/ Zwickelbier category.

On February 14, 2012, the Cicerone Certification Program issued Certified Beer Server certificate number 10,000, passing a milestone that demonstrates widespread acceptance and respect for the program throughout the brewing and beer service community. The move into 5-figures of beer servers comes just four years and 42 days after this first-level exam was first offered to the public in the early days of January 2008

Voodoo Brewery is preparing some “super-limited” barrel-aged beers, to be released only at the brewery and at one account in Southeastern Pennsylvania. The SEPA account will be determined by which establishment sells the most Voodoo product between now and the end of Philly Beer Week on June 10, 2012.

Now, for craft beer lovers in the USA, Vanberg & DeWulf is now importing Lava Smoked Imperial Stout (9.4% ABV) from Iceland’s only craft brewery, Olvisholt Brugghus’ (Brewery). Lava earns a 99 on Ratebeer, and is a full-bodied, pitch-black beer with a dense brown head.

American Homebrewers Association (AHA) recognizes beerlovers.com very own All-Grain Brewer as the AHA Recipe of the Week. Dan George of Westerville, Ohio, and the Scioto Olentangy Darby Zymurgists (SODZ) created Thomas Toes Mild, Gold medal winner at the 2010 AHA National Homebrew Competition.

The Alchemist GF beer is SO GOOD that people who weren't Celiacs loved it too. It was constantly a sell out! 2010 GABF Gold for Celia Pale Ale, 2009 GABF Gold for Celia Framboise and Bronze for Celia IPA, 2010 World Beer Cup Gold for Celia Saison. Always something new and great. Then Tropical Storm Irene hit Waterbury on August 28th, 2011 - What a story! They are back to making Heady Topper (this one is not Gluten free, but is the flagship), and now, Celia Saison.
