Read moreI had some great new brews yesterday. The Philadelphia, PA area is exploding with start-up breweries/brewpubs - probably because Philly Beer Week is a big stimulus to the beer community. Philly Beer Week is a 10-day event, held in June (June 1-10 in 2012) that presents over 1,000 events in that 10-day period. But I digress. At the War of the Worts Homebrew Competition, several new commercial breweries showcased their beers: Free Will Brewing of Perkasie, PA; Naked Brewing Company; Cabinet Artisanal Brewhouse of Arlington, VA (brewers for The Farmer's Cabinet in Philly); Forest & Main Brewery & Pub, Ambler, PA; Round Guys Brewing of Lansdale, PA; Prism Brewing of North Wales, PA; and I hope I haven't missed anyone! Not present but soon also opening in the area is Tired Hands Brewing Company in Ardmore, PA. I also hear Blue Dog in Lansdale is going to convert from a beer bar to a brewpub. What's in your region?
